Salim & DCII Build Database

The Salim Group cooperates with PT DCI Indonesia Tbk.
(DCII) to build a global standard data center park complex called H2 at Pertiwi Lestari Industrial Park in Karawang. This collaboration is in line with Indofood boss Anthoni Salim's move to increase DCII's share ownership to 11.12% by the end of May 2021. Axton Salim, Director of Indofood and son of Anthoni Salim, said H2 is one of the largest data center complexes in Southeast Asia with an area of tens of hectares and has a total capacity of hundreds of megawatts (MW). Meanwhile, the H2 is designed to international standards using Tier 3 and Tier 4 specifications, which are supported by multiple fiber optic connectivity (carrier neutral) and two power plants. In addition, H2 was built with the concept of a green data center which will be operated using renewable energy from a solar panel farm which will be built in the same area. "H2 will bring a big positive impact for business people in Indonesia in meeting market demands to accelerate the digitization process in Indonesia so that we are able to compete at a global level," he said in an official statement. Meanwhile, the Salim Group entity that runs the business is PT Datacenter Indonesia. Prosperous Success. In the process of topping off the first H2 data center building has been carried out. This building will have 10 floors, with 6 floors of which are data rooms with a total capacity of 3,000 racks and a total capacity of 15 MW of electrical power. The construction of this building has started since the fourth quarter of 2020.
