Entrepreneurs Who Care for the Homeland Hold Convalescent Plasma Donors
The increase in Covid-19 cases has encouraged companies under the auspices of Entrepreneurs Caring for the Republic of Indonesia to strengthen the national movement for convalescent plasma donors.
“Strict medical requirements for donors make public participation also limited. However, we are trying to make this method widely known, so that more and more Covid-19 survivors understand it, and are motivated to donate their plasma. One of the steps we have taken is to partner with companies under the umbrella of Entrepreneurs Caring for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," said Sinar Mas Managing Director, Saleh Husin when the donation took place at Sinar Mas Land Plaza. As many as 15 donors, apart from Sinar Mas employees, also came from PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk, PT Djarum and Triputra Group who passed the screening conducted by the medical team of the Sinar Mas branch of the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation from 60 survivors who previously registered themselves. Saleh Husin hopes that the company's participation can accelerate the socialization and education of convalescent plasma donors, as well as expand the reach of its benefits in the community. "The solidarity of these survivors is a concern and an effort to help others, especially when the number of Covid-19 cases continues to rise," said Saleh, who as a survivor, also donated plasma.
