Moving Capital City, DPR Special Committee Will Review BSD and Alam Sutera

The Special Committee for the Draft Law on the National Capital City (Pansus RUU IKN) of the DPR RI will conduct field visits to two areas in the City of South Tangerang (Tangsel), Banten, namely Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) and Alam Sutera ahead of the ratification of the IKN Bill into law.

Chairman of the Special Committee for the DPR IKN Bill, Ahmad Doli Kurnia, stated that the new IKN located in North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan has the concept of a smart city, sustainable city, and green city. According to him, the step to review BSD and Alam Sutera was carried out because the two areas were categorized as meeting the concepts related to the new IKN. "We are currently building a new capital city, a new city. This new city is called a smart city, then a sustainable city, a green city. We also have to look at examples where places that have been categorized fulfill those slogans," said Doli to reporters at the Parliament Complex, Senayan. The deputy head of the Golkar Party said that the government also suggested that it should also have a vision of the city to be built. According to him, this field review is important because it is already in the discussion stage about the new IKN master plan.
