Everyone Gets Away With China, Xi Jinping Tests Indonesia's Fast Train

The 142.3 km Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train is targeted for trials in November 2022 at the same time as the G20 in Bali.
President Jokowi and Chinese President Xi Jinping are scheduled to inaugurate the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail project. This achievement overtook many countries in ASEAN such as Singapore-Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. Malaysia-Singapore finally canceled this project, while Vietnam is targeting to complete the project in 2030. Vietnam is preparing two high-speed rail routes, namely Hanoi-Vinh and HCMC-Nha Trang. The International Union of Railways report noted that until early 2020 there were only 44 countries that had high-speed rail projects, of which only 21 countries operated them. Although the high-speed train was pioneered by Japan in 1964, in fact, China is the champion of the high-speed train in terms of the total lines operated. China controls 67% of the high-speed rail network currently operating. Here's the data.
