Ambassador Gandi Sulistiyanto Supports Electric Car Ecosystem Development

The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Korea Gandi Sulistiyanto made his first visit to the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (HMMI) factory facility in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, West Java
Gandi said this visit was in line with President Joko Widodo's direction that the manufacture of electric cars by Hyundai was directed to form the largest upstream to downstream electric car industry ecosystem not only in Indonesia, but also in Southeast Asia. "Therefore, I hope to see Hyundai Indonesia not only focusing on completing electric cars, but also completing the manufacture of battery cells in Indonesia," said Gandi Sulistiyanto in his remarks during a visit to the HMMI factory. Furthermore, Ambassador Sulis, as he is fondly called by his colleagues, emphasized the importance of developing the quality of Indonesian human resources working at the Hyundai factory. He hopes that HMMI will cooperate with educational institutions in Indonesia to improve the expertise and skills of Indonesian human resources, such as mastering digital tools to assemble cars
